Every Tuesday we will hold regular ‘In Conversation’ meetings at 17.00 CET (Paris) time ( 4pm UK time). These meetings last one hour.

They include dialogue about a wide range of photography related topics, recommendations for photographers, Instagram accounts, books and a lot more besides. Featuring Tim and Joanna’s photography and showcasing work from members you can be sure of some lively discussion and plenty of inspiration.

Though these meetings are free, we do hugely appreciate any donations you would like to give, as they help us to keep them going.

TUESDAY 5 NOVEMBER:

Serious times at the moment so maybe time for a slightly more serious discussion about photography…

Tim will lead a discussion about what is the photograph that had the greatest impact/and or changed the course of world history? The falling man on 9/11? Tank man in Beijing? Robert Capa’s images from the D-Day landings? astronaut William Anders’ picture from the moon of ‘Earthrise’?

There are some remarkable images to choose from and please feel free to bring along your ideas.

Does photography still have the power to affect us and world events like it used to or have we become hardened to shocking images? And are we all too eager to cry foul and believe it was ‘all done by AI’?

When Don McCullin’s amazing pictures of war and famine were regularly appearing on the cover  of the Sunday Times Magazine, someone once memorably said ‘For many of us, his eyes were our conscience’. Are those days over?

TUESDAY 3 DECEMBER : OVER TO YOU - THE YEAR REVIEW

What have you achieved this year ? Have you felt inspired? Uninspired? Have you completed a project? Something to celebrate? A new website, exhibition? Things that are not working? Won or been shortlisted on a Photographic Competition?

This is your moment to share with the group. Please don’t be shy about coming forward.
